F&N Website Resources

These are the few resources i find it useful for all of us. The resources are more catered to Upper Secondary F&N students.

1) Topic on: Commodities
URL: http://knowledge.allianz.com/en/media/animations/10/detail/

Pro: Additional facts enable students to view the relation between nutritive facts of different commodities to its prices (which is more familiar to students). Visual reprentation (a line graph) of commodity price over a period of 8years allows viewing of the trend and clear precise explanation of the trends on the graph. Animated hence allow easy manipulate of web to suit your needs

2) Topic on: Diet & Health
URL: http://www.mydr.com.au/nutrition-weight/animation-effects-of-obesity

Pro: Serve as a summary illustrating the negative effects of obesity. Rather then reading the elaboration on the effects of obesity, students can use this model to build their curosity towards the topic and motivate their investigation on it.

Cons: This is limited for a material for self directed learning due to the size of the animated model

3) Topic on: Diet & Health (*Gd!*)
URL: http://www.medmovie.com/mmdatabase/MediaPlayer.aspx?ClientID=65&TopicID=817

Pro: I think this is a excellent animation. It covers the main bulk of how to balance energy input & output, identify healthy & unhealthy food, illustrate the importance of the nutrients in healthy food and the "bad guys" present in unhealthy food through a pictorial presentation. Its captivating to view how the concepts are illustrated and certainly helps in student's understanding on the topics.
