2nd Microteaching (Setting: @ the Bird Park)

2nd Microteaching (Setting: @ the Bird Park)

Presented By ~ Amelia, Novia, Rainie

Presentation: The use of lunch boxes for the topic on ready-packed-meals, similar lunchbox design for all three dishes, accessories suit the theme of the day.

Our Products.. ..

Notes to Consider: Japanese Curry Rice - Place rice in the larger compartment, Curry consistency must be thick (w/o black peppercorn - not glamorous)
Shepard's Pie - Flavouring of meat by tomato sauce is NICE!

Pictures For Food at Day Nursery

Theme: Food for Children at the Day Nursery

Here~ Nice display of the overall presentation of the 3dishes done by Farah's Group

1st Dish: HomeMade Chicken Nuggets
2nd Dish: Seafood Fuseilli
3rd Dish: Chocolate Muffin

More of Our Product!

Yummy! Although my chicken nuggets were too salty (ops added too much salt) but the ingredients used for the marination flavoured the nuggets well. The fuseilli turn out well regardless of it being too watery. I love the Chocolate muffins!!

Some Problems we Encounter

--> Problem: Our muffins did not rise! Could be due to insufficient baking soda added or the folding was insufficient.

MicroTeaching 1

Hi everyone!

These were the dishes taught by Farah, Elizabeth and Claire today (15 Sept 2009). They were the first group to kick-start a series of upcoming microteaching lessons for DCX521/QCX521. Esther and I prepared them.

Homemade Chicken Nuggets with Mashed Potato and Vegetable Sticks

The protein, carb and vegetable portions were just right for nursery kids. Heart-shaped nuggets will definitely appeal to them, though I'm not sure about the raw carrot sticks. This would surely make a balanced meal though.

Tomato Prawn Fusilli

Esther personally likes this dish the most.

***

Strawberry Cupcake

This was my personal favourite, probably since I've always had a sweet tooth. Preferred eating the cupcake without the icing. Had difficulty spreading the pink icing onto the cake though, I was too rough! Smashed 2 cupcakes while trying to apply it (I'm sorry Esther!).
